A project two years in the making. Sonically, it went through its psycles and changes but ultimately my main theme of "family" maintained throughout. The album name came from a weird dream/hallucination I had where a past family member spoke to me, waking me from my sleep. Thus birthing this concept of “Things I’ve Heard”. Whether that be lessons I’ve been taught, discussions I’ve heard or even arguments and things I shouldn’t have heard, this album is about that. Throughout the two year creation period I grew a lot and that is something you end up hearing in the album. I’m always honest in my music but this was a different type of honesty. This honesty is the type that is hard to speak on, the honesty that might hurt your feelings, the honesty that stimulates progress. So this album is that, my truth, my peace, my “magnum opus”. The first album of mine to make me cry and If it brings you to tears (in advance I'm sorry) you probably needed it though. This album wouldn’t be what it is without my lovely sister, Loretta Harvey, she painted all the artwork for the album based on an old family photo. Much love to Nomad, Shiloh, JB, Scrambled and Lu ya’ll amplified this album and allowed it to become bigger than just me. Much love to the friends that have become family ya’ll inspire me everyday. Much love to my better half Lex you mean more to me then you know, your support and love does not go unnoticed and I am forever grateful to be a part of your journey. Much love to my parents for putting me in positions to be successful, and always loving and supporting no matter what. Much love to all my aunties, uncles, cousins, grandma’s and grandpa’s ya’ll shaped who I’ve become and are all a part of the “Things I’ve Heard”. <3
